Trapped Blister is a type of vacuum forming similar to the one mentioned earlier, but it does not involve heat sealing onto a card. Instead, the blister is “sandwiched” between a folded cardboard or two sealed cards.
In closed vacuum forming, there is a cardboard in front of the plastic. This front cardboard has been die cut to fit the blister. Then place the plastic blister between two pieces of cardboard. This packaging style can improve stability and protect internal products.
Unlike other types of vacuum packaging, closed vacuum packaging does not require heat sealing. This makes it a more cost-effective packaging option. The plastic covering on the front cardboard makes the packaging look clean and smooth.
